On this fun-filled plant walk of Gilbert’s Riparian Preserve, you will discover both medicinal and edible plants that grow in the wetter parts of the Sonoran Desert. You will also get to see some of the waterfowl, birds, and other wildlife that choose to hang out in the washes and riverbanks of the desert. Join me to walk the waterways and learn how to identify and use these medicinal botanicals that have learned to adapt to the desert heat.
This walk is suitable for all skill levels and is on a paved surface suitable for scooters.
This is an outdoor event so please dress for the weather. Closed-toe shoes and a water bottle are required. You will be emailed 24 hours before the event with details on where we are meeting and what to bring with you. Anyone arriving unprepared (ie. sandals, no water) will be turned away without a refund.
Cancellation/Refund Policy: All credit cards will be charged a $5.00 cancellation fee due to bank processing charges. No refunds or cancellations 5 days or less before class. Thank you for your understanding.
